High humidity in the Toll Cross Park Winter Garden in Glasgow had resulted in wet rot decay affecting timbers at various points throughout the timber, glazed and wrought iron structure.
Traditional joinery repairs were ineffective due to the extreme ambient conditions required to support the exotic plant life.
Richardson & Starling were contacted to propose a solution to the fungal attack which was affecting structural timbers.
After an extensive survey the Richardson & Starling Timber Repair System was used to repair the affected timber. A warranty was issued on completion of works to ensure peace of mind for the client.

Water penetration through the envelope of this magnificent building had resulted in extensive wet rot and dry rot attacks affecting the main structural timber trusses supporting the roof and spanning the sanctuary area below.

Significant scaffolding and support systems were used to allow the major repair works which were completed in a four month programme.
